DONNI BENNETT- bass, JOEY DONOVAN- guitar, BRUCE TRICE- drums and JOE VALENTI- keyboards. All four members take turns on lead vocals.
The name "The Third Band" comes from one of our first appearances with our present lineup in 2006... at Krewes Kare's "World's Largest Hurricane Party".
We were playing incognito, hoping not to be recognized.... and it worked. No one seemed to remember the band’s name, but several called and emailed Krewes Kare asking the fateful question “who was the third band?” We figured “why fight it?”
The following week we played a benefit at another venue and we were the fourth band. But we decided to leave well enough alone.

The Third Band specialized in the sixties and seventies music that Tampa's "the Mod Squad" was known for in the Tampa Bay area in the late eighties.
In 2011, all our band members live far apart from one another and we all seem to have lots of conflicts that have made performances rare. But never say never... we may show up on your doorstep making lotsa noise some weekend.
